The Italian Short-Haired Segugio is the smooth-coated variant of the Segugio Italiano, more common and more widely used in Italy than the rough-haired variety. It shares the same ancient origins and the same elegant, dry silhouette. It is one of the most popular hunting dogs in Italy, especially for hare hunting.
