Summary
The Sabueso Español is one of the oldest scent hounds of the Iberian Peninsula, with documented references since the 12th century. Developed across the various regions of Spain, it exists in two varieties: heavy-headed (Sabueso de Cabeza Gruesa) and light-headed (Sabueso de Cabeza Ligera). It is an excellent scent dog, widely used in Spain for driven hunts and for hunting wild boar and deer.
