Summary
The Small Swiss Hound (Niederlaufhund) is the shorter-legged version of the Swiss Hounds, bred to allow hunting in more enclosed terrain and to follow trails at lower speeds, more suitable for hunting on foot. It exists in the same four color varieties (Bernese, Jura, Lucerne, and Schwyz). It is rarer than the full-sized Laufhund.
