Presa Canario
Summary
The Presa Canario is the native breed of the Canary Islands, developed over centuries in this Spanish archipelago from crosses between local guard dogs and mastiffs brought by the conquerors. It was used to guard properties and drive cattle on the islands. With its square head, muscular body, and dominant temperament, it is one of the most impressive Iberian Molossoid breeds.
