Parson Russell Terrier
Summary
The Parson Russell Terrier owes its name to Reverend John "The Sporting Parson" Russell, a passionate hunting enthusiast who, in the second half of the 19th century, developed his ideal line of white terrier: fast enough to keep up with horses, small enough to enter burrows, and with a white pattern to be distinguished from the fox. It is the taller, longer-legged version of the Russell terrier family.

Temperament & Personality
The Parson Russell is a dog of extremely high energy, superior intelligence, and fierce determination. It is entertaining, affectionate, and absolutely irreverent — an excellent companion for active owners. It has a tendency to dig, bark, chase, and explore. The intelligence it possesses is used to decide on its own criteria when it obeys. It needs intense exercise and daily mental stimulation; otherwise, it destroys everything it finds.
