The Long-Haired Pyrenean Sheepdog is the more common of the two Pyrenean Sheepdog varieties, recognizable by the longer hair on the face that partially covers the eyes. Its rustic appearance and intelligent expression reflect centuries of selection for hard work in the mountains. It is a breed that impresses with its endurance and work capacity, very disproportionate to its small size.

Temperament & Personality

It is a cheerful, expressive and animated dog that loves being in action. With adequate socialization, it adapts well to family life, but its considerable energy requires an active owner.
