Summary
The Romanian Raven Shepherd Dog ("Corvo" refers to its black coat like a raven) is the most recent FCI recognition in this group, obtaining definitive status in September 2024. It originates from the sub-Carpathian regions of southern Romania, where it was used as a flock guardian. Its predominantly black coat was rare among flock guardians and made it unmistakable in the pastures.
