Summary
The Brandlbracke, or Austrian Black and Tan Hound, is one of the oldest scent hound breeds in Austria, with probable descent from the ancient St. Hubert Hounds. It is a hardy working scent hound, used for hunting hare, fox, and wild boar in the Austrian alpine forests. It is recognized by its classic black and tan coloring, similar to the Rottweiler but in a scent hound's body.
