The Swiss Hound (Schweizer Laufhund) is a family of Swiss scent hounds that exists in four distinct color varieties: Bernese (tricolor), Jura (black and tan), Lucerne (blue mottled and tan), and Schwyz (orange and white). All share the same conformation standard, differing only in color. They are dogs of exceptional scenting ability, used to hunt hare, fox, and roe deer in the varied landscapes of Switzerland.
