Karelian Bear Dog
Summary
The Karelian Bear Dog is one of the bravest Nordic hunting dogs, developed in Karelia (a region shared between Finland and Russia) to hunt large game, including bears, moose, and wild boar. It works alone, locating the prey and holding it in position until the hunter arrives. It is one of Finland's national dogs and one of the most popular breeds in the country.
