Gos Rater Valencià
Summary
The Valencian Terrier, or Gos Rater Valencià in Valencian, is a Spanish breed developed in the Valencian Community for the traditional hunting of water rats, rabbits, and moles. Recognized by the Real Sociedad Canina de España since 2004 and provisionally accepted by the FCI only in 2022, it is still a relatively recent breed on the international scene. It shares origins with the first British terriers imported to the Iberian Peninsula, adapted to local conditions over generations.
