Resumen
The Estonian Hound (Eesti Hagijas) is the only dog breed from Estonia, developed in the 20th century from crosses between Russian, English scent hounds, and Beagles, to create a dog adapted to the Estonian forests. It was recognized by the FCI in 1954. After Estonia's independence in 1991, the breed gained national symbol status.
