Resumen
The Alpine Dachsbracke (Alpenländische Dachsbracke) is a short-legged scent hound from the Austrian Alps, developed for tracking wounded animals in mountainous terrain of difficult access. It combines the characteristics of a tracking scent hound with the short-legged physique that allows it to work in the most rugged alpine terrain. It was declared an Austrian national breed by Prince Rudolf of Austria in the late 19th century.
